2. DRAFT Video Submission - assignment Requirements
Draft group video for sharing on Thursday Sept 5th
As a team of innovators specialising in design, you want to publicise your innovative project work via social media. To support this endeavour, you are required to record a video which promotes your innovation(s) and includes voice over narrative and music as appropriate.
Record video as required above to produce a sharable mp4 format file. The video must be 60 (+\- 10%) seconds in duration.
3. Personal Reflective Piece (Individual Submission):
This element should be a maximum of 1000 words, must be submitted to Moodle by September ??. Your piece should address 3 elements:
- The Design Thinking Process and me: (300 words max)
The key element of this summer school required students to work in a multi-national interdisciplinary team in undertaking an industry-based design project.
Reflect on how you have come through the Design Thinking Process, reflect on how the process assisted you and your team in developing a solution for your client. What elements helped the most etc. in assisting your team to arrive at a successful solution?
- The People: (500 words maximum)
Based on your participation within your team, you are required to write a reflection piece. Questions which may be worth considering to prompt reflection include:
· What personality traits do I have that may make it easy for me to contribute positively to the team?
· How will I measure such enablers and leverage opportunity?
· What personality traits do I have that may make it difficult to contribute positively to the team?
· How can I mitigate against such challenges?
· Who among my team demonstrated qualities that significantly benefited/hindered the team, and how can I learn from this in developing my own competencies in effective teamwork?
· Did I gain new insights and perspective on my role in teams?
· If so, how will this be of benefit in the future?
· What elements could I apply to life in general?
Rather than listing all of your strengths and weaknesses, it is recommended that you select a 'big ticket' item/important insight that you can explore further by reflection in the hope of realising long-term benefits.
- 'Creativity' and me! (200 words)
Another element of this summer school required students to be creative in developing creative solutions. Reflect on how creative YOU were in the development of your team’s solution.
